Help the CSP4188 Robotics Team Compete in 2022!

The Columbus Space Program FIRST robotics team  (FRC4188) is fundraising to cover the costs of the 2022 competition season. Your donations will help fund travel, hotel rooms, food, and other expenses associated with helping 28 students from the Muscogee County School District to compete with teams from all over the region (and, hopefully, the world).

 

First launched in 2012, our team is part of the FIRST Robotics community. From 2015-2019, CSP’s accomplishments included qualifying for the World Championship every year. We began the 2019 season by winning our first regional competition, only to have the rest of the season canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Since March 2020, our team has had limited opportunities to meet in-person or compete. It has been discouraging to not be able to be together, and we are excited to be back at our “headquarters” not just to build a robot and compete, but to build an inclusive STEM community.

 

We need your help ensuring that all of our students can afford to participate in our upcoming season, where they will hone their science, engineering, and technology skills. More importantly, CSP is helping our students rebuild a love for learning and teamwork as we (finally) come together in-person.

 

Due to the pandemic, we have lost several funding sources, so your support is much needed and appreciated. Please note any funds not used this spring will be used to support the team in summer and fall competitions/activities. This is your opportunity to help us fulfill our dream of competing alongside and learning from our peers from this region and beyond. Thank you for your support!
