Magicae : Alma Mahler Kammerorchester’s new show
The Alma Mahler Kammerorchester was created four years ago by a group of young musicians from 17 european countries, dreaming of making music without borders at the highest level. Some of you have already helped us at the very beginning : Thanks to you, the AMK has grown into a real chamber orchestra of 28 musicians, with a record of 6 successful residencies, one international tour, and with more and more artistic ambition each year.
This summer, we are creating something big.
For the first time, the AMK will work with the choreographer Juliette Rahon and the dancer Yasmin Schönmann on the creation of a completely choreographed new show called « Magicae ».
On stage, a chamber orchestra playing by heart, a conductor and a dancer will perform a show of a new kind at the crossroads of music, dance and theater, telling the story of a Sorceress (the dancer), her apprentice (the conductor) and the world they are trying to control (the musicians). Together, and through the music of Dukas, Stravinsky and Debussy, they will explore experience, resilience and a new form of harmony. This ambitious and poetic show will be premiered at the Château du Guérinet (France), and will be suitable for all audiences, from all ages and nationalities.
To make this possible, we need your help!
For the first time ever, we need costumes, lights, stage accessories, but we also need to hire a choreographer, a dancer, a costume designer, a light manager, a video team, a photographer....
On top of the usual costs of our residencies : musicians’ travel, accommodation and food, score rental and instruments rental.
We are very happy to have received some subsidies who will cover part of these costs. But this is not enough, and that is why we ask for your help!
If you pay taxes in France, every donation to us is deductible at a rate of 66% : for a 100 euros donation, you get 66 euros back.
To help us is to help Art, Creation, Youth, and Europe at a time when culture is endangered in all countries.
We are extremely grateful in advance for any donation you can make, small or big, which can help us reach our goal.
We can do this!
