Help the courageous Cutts beat this massive mass

Zack and Emily Cutts, parents of a toddler and newborn, received life changing news this week. Emily not only has a large mass in her chest, but it has caused life threatening blood clots in the veins around it. The local hospital has sent her to Jacksonville to receive proper treatment with the appropriate equipment and for further testing. Emily has a hard road ahead of her and will need the support of her husband, children and family during this difficult time. We are asking for your help with medical expenses and to allow her family to be with her during this unexpected hardship. I’ll update soon. Update: 5/3/24- We found out today that Emily has Hodkin’s Lymphoma. The PET scan showed that it is not below the diaphragm, and the bone marrow biopsy showed that it is not in the immune system (both blessings). She will start a 6 month treatment regimen of chemo, with her first treatment in Jacksonville, and the rest at home. In 2 months they’ll do a repeat to check for improvement. She’ll unfortunately lose all hair. The rest of us girls can be jealous bc she won’t have to shave her legs all summer. On a serious note, she’ll have to be very careful, because she’ll be immunocompromised during treatment. Because of this, they recommend no fresh flowers at this time. The blood clots have improved, so that is good. This is hard news to swallow, and I know she’s missing her babies. Zack and her mother have been by her side all week comforting her and attending to any needs. Please continue to pray for her. For strength, peace, endurance, comfort, symptom management, and wisdom.
