KIX Mourns the Loss of Longtime Sound Engineer and Tour Manager Joe “Nine Toe Joe” Corcoran

It is with profound sadness that the KIX band announces the passing of our dear friend, crew member, and family member, Joe Corcoran, affectionately known as “Nine Toe Joe.”

Joe served as KIX’s front of house sound engineer and tour manager for many years, playing a crucial role in bringing the band’s energy and music to life at every show. Behind the scenes, Joe was the calm in the storm—ensuring everything ran smoothly with unmatched precision, dedication, and heart.

Joe was more than a crew member. He was family. His sharp wit, legendary stories, and unmistakable laugh lit up every soundcheck, backstage hang, and long travel day. ‘Nine Toe Joe’ wasn’t just a nickname—it was a badge of honor that captured his toughness, his humor, and his unforgettable spirit.

Joe’s contributions helped shape the live KIX experience and left an indelible mark on the band, the crew, and fans across the country. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.
