Help our family bridge this unemployment gap!

Hi friends. I have been unemployed since October 2025 after being laid off from a job that I deeply loved at Seattle Humane. I was only offered 3 weeks severance with absolutely no warning of being let go. Now, my state unemployment benefits have ended, any retirement I had accumulated in my working time has been cashed out… and we are at a really scary point.

With only one income now for our family, we will not be able to pay rent moving forward. We do not have family in the area or places to go to accommodate us. Ethan is working full time and I have applied to over 75 jobs with no leads in progress.

We will be tapping into local resources for pet food, human food, and other things to help lighten the load, but we could use all the financial help we can to push through these next few months until I can find a job to support our family again.
