Hello,

As some of you may have seen or heard, my husband was involved in a motorcycle accident on Sunday morning March 22, 2026. He has had to undergo 2 surgeries to repair his “exploded” knee cap and broken shin. We are looking at 8-10 weeks before he is able to even attempt to bend his knee. Total recovery time can be anywhere from 6-8 months. In the meantime he is bed ridden, having to keep his leg straight and sometimes elevated to avoid swelling and to allow for proper healing.

Chris has had a passion for starting his own company and working for himself, which he began doing late August of last year. We had it in the works to be licensed and insured for this upcoming season this year; however, due to his accident, we are unable to proceed with that at this time. He has no health insurance, no paid time off (PTO), no sick leave or any benefits that would financially compensate for the time lost in work.

Since we live in South Carolina, we don’t really have family or friends who are able to watch our 7 month old to allow me to go to work. Chris can’t move around so he is unable to help with the baby until he is more stable and mobile, which has resulted in both of us now not being able to work. I also do not have any PTO or benefits that would help us financially during this time.

We are beyond grateful and thankful that Chris is still with us. We appreciate and want to thank everyone for reaching out, giving their condolences and keeping us in their thoughts and prayers! Anything helps & we greatly appreciate any donations!
