Hi, I am setting up this page on behalf of my best friend Samantha, her husband Jeff and her four beautiful kids. Their world was turned upside down when an EF-3 tornado swept directly through their neighborhood on Monday. They are thankfully, by the grace of God, safe and unharmed.

While their house miraculously still stands, it withstood considerable damage. Their main floor and basement will need to be gutted due to category 2 substantial water damage. Their windows shattered, doors were blown out, their roof pocketed with holes. Water, insulation, and debris litter their home. Their garage is gone completely. Sam’s fairly new car —totaled.

Along with the physical destruction, the mental destruction has been considerable. I keep saying “I cannot imagine” when Sam has given me updates because I truly cannot imagine. The fear they all felt. The devastation. It all happened so quickly. In the span of 5 minutes the tornado hit, sirens went off, and Sam and her kids raced to the basement narrowly avoiding being hit by shattered windows. They then sat there stuck, helpless as they listened to the unthinkable happen right above them. 145mph winds ripping through their neighborhood. Jeff was sheltered in place at work and lost contact with Sam as it hit. The sheer panic of not knowing if your family is safe, unfathomable. And then the what ifs. They are haunting.

I ask that you keep the Conner’s and their whole neighborhood in your thoughts and prayers as this has changed their entire lives.

Along with your thoughts and prayers, i ask for your help in rebuilding. Everything donated here will be used to make their uninhabitable house livable again, to provide them a place to stay in the meantime, for food, and general replenishment of basic living needs.

I currently set the goal at 10,000 as that is what is needed for them to meet their insurance deductible, but ANYTHING will help and would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart and theirs! ♡
