Help Combs’ Rebuild their woodshop after the fire

Donation protected
My name is Cathy Reinl & I am putting an urgent plea out for my dear friends Vanessa and her husband Matt. They are the kindest people you will ever meet, Matt serving his community being a law enforcement officer for over 20 years and Vanessa over coming many obstacles in her life and has been going back to college never giving up on her dream to one day have her college degree. It has not been easy and despite facing many trials on her road to get her college degree. Vanessa started a wonderful rescue that takes in the most unwanted animals (dogs, cats, pigs, chickens etc and even a monkey named Jack). Matt and Vanessa provide a loving safe home which some of these animals have never had. Some of the animals come in from abusive situations whether it be physical abuse or neglect. They provide a safe environment; they give all their time to these animals that they treat like family. They sacrifice many wants to make sure they cover the needs of those in their care. They also have an adult special needs daughter Terry who lives with them full time .. All funds needed are covered by them, all the food, vetting, and anything these animals need they cover. Selling crafts that Vanessa has a talent of making and Matt working extra shifts. One of the other ways they fund all this expensive is Matt’s has a woodshop with tools he has collected over the years he has been making things to sale to help provide food for all the animals they take in, the vet care of all these animals, and wood happens to be the way they heat their home in West Virginia. Today they suffered a horrific fire to this vital woodshop including the electrical and need your help. They would not normally ask for help they just aren’t that kind of people, but I wanted to ask others to help this great couple and all the animals they take care of and support. I know that times are rough, I know that people are barely scraping by just as Matt and Vanessa do, the sacrifice they make to help animals is not something most people would do, the heart that they have to serve not only their community but the animals they care for is very special. The woodshop was attached to the house, they almost lost their home today as well but thankfully they were home and like the true hero’s they are battled the fire themselves before the fire department could get there, trying to save their home and the woodshop themselves. The damaged was extensive, and while the most important thing is that no one was hurt and all animals are safe, this woodshop is the lifeline for the animals in the rescue there and to warming the house. Matt lost all this tools, extensive electrical damage that must be replaced, and the biggest thing is his chainsaws (which I know doesn’t seem that important in the scheme of things, but these are what cuts the wood and provides the logs for heating and winter is almost here. Insurance will not cover this, and so I am trying to get this family help they deserve and need to keep the family home warm, to keep the animals cared for without help I honestly do not know what they will do. Please if you can give even a 1.00 that will help. All this will go directly to the family. If you would rather give another way such as a purchase of tools or chainsaw or food for the animals, I will be more than happy to get with you and see how we can make that happen. Any money raised will go directly to the family to help rebuild this much much needed wood shop … Thank you and God Bless …
