Help the Collins Family Stay Afloat

Hello from the Collins family, and welcome to our GoFundMe. My son and I figured, it was about time to make one with what's going on in our lives. We lost my husband October 18th 2024, and it's like since then things have just been snowballing out of control. Not long after his death, I had a slip and fall at work, breaking 3 bones in my neck, they had to put a cage in and to top things off, nerve damage (mostly in my arms/hands). On my road to recovery, I had to get a toe amputated, sending me right back to being stuck in the hospital. All the while I'm playing revolving door with the hospital, my son is juggling house upkeep and making the trips back and forth to come see/help me every day. I'm finally an outpatient and things are settling down, but the bills never stopped and we ran out of money. I'm unable to work, do to the state my body is in and my son can't work because he's looking after me. It's a full time thing. The disability people haven't started jack just of yet and we need SOMETHING to keep us off the streets and food on the table. It's hard to admit it's come to this, because I've been working since the age of 14 and have 30+ years of being a nurse under my belt. I've gotten use to being the one helping folks out vs being the one asking for help. But, now's the time TO ask. So, if you could find it in your hearts and it's not too much trouble, give what you can to our cause. Anything is welcome and would help more than you'd ever know. No donation too small.
