Hi, my name is Lakia Collins and I’m fundraising for myself and family. Thursday early morning my family and I lost our home and everything in it due to a fire. I really just lost my house and everything in it.. I’m so thankful for my family and that my neighbors pulled them out!! Yall let me tell you, that morning I was supposed to be at work at 6:30 am. I over slept that morning I didn’t leave my house until like 7 something. My sister and my supervisor called and woke me up. Meantime, I didn’t see nor smell my house burning. As I was getting in my car to go to work I noticed that my neighbor had let their dogs out. To me Thursday morning it was strange. My neighbor always let the dogs out around 5:30am as I’m leaving for work, but yesterday they let them out late. As I sit here and think I’m so grateful they did let the dogs out late yesterday. Had they not my boys wouldn’t be here today!! I’m very thankful for my neighbors been brave going in a burning house and waking the boys up and getting them out safely. I’m also very thankful I was woke up as well, cause baby I definitely wouldn’t be here the fire came straight to my room and spreaded quickly throughout the whole house. I went back over there today to see if there was anything savageable that we could get!! Walking through there just broke me down cause damn is all I could say!! Every room in that dang house was destroyed and burned down. I had to take more pictures to show my mother cause its just unbelievable to me how lucky we was. This shit is just unbelievable and heart broken to me!! I would like to thank everyone who has reached out just checking on us. To anyone who is interested in donating and just the support.
