Hi, my name is Arica. I am married and have 2 children Savanahs and Luke. I was diagnosed with stage 3 peritoneal ovarian cancer in January 2018. I had just turned 40. I have gone through over 100 chemo treatments, trial treatments and other medications and haven’t had a break. My cancer has been in remission if you call it that for 4 months and then started treatment yet again. I have no cure. I have been to Cleveland and Chicago twice and have had not only my heart broken but my family’s too. I have been told I am running out of options. All I pray for everyday is more time. More time to love and live with my family. To enjoy the little things.
We as a family have been through a lot to say the least. As a mom you want to protect your family. It’s hard enough being the one going through all this but to sit and watch your family go through it to is even worse.
I am so blessed to have such amazing people around me during my journey. I couldn’t imagine doing this alone. My family and friends are the best! It would be impossible without everyone.
Tomorrow 3/9/22 I have a scheduled chemo treatment. I pray that I am strong enough to receive my chemo tomorrow because my bone marrow hasn’t been bouncing back as we were all hoping. The only thing I know for sure out of all this is I will never give up!!! It’s been a very rough past week I am hoping and praying that my body is still responding to this treatment and can proceed forward.
I’m not one to ask for help, but if you can help we will appreciate it greatly.
