My name is Donna and I'm fundraising for Mike and Anna Clarke and their children from Holyrood, Ontario.
The Clarke family of 14 have escaped from a house fire with the clothes on their backs and sadly, lost their family dog in the blaze. The house they rented has been burned to the ground with only a few items that could be recovered and there is no insurance on the contents. The 12 children at home range from 3 to 22 years of age and are all currently staying in very cramped quarters with friends in the community.
They have lost everything in the fire, including all their clothes, kitchen supplies, food, computers and electronics, a generator, a house-sized tent, sports and hunting equipment, home schooling supplies, musical instruments, including a piano and so much more.
Their eldest daughter at home was planning on getting married in August, and lost her wedding dress and rings, flower girls dresses, and other wedding decorations in the fire.
The funds raised will be used to support their needs in the immediate term including help with temporary lodging, food, clothes, medicine, etc. It will also be used to buy the contents of their new home for 14 people including clothes, kitchen supplies, furniture, beds, tools, office supplies, and all household items.
We thank the community for coming together already to support this family with their immediate needs, including Vine Eye Care who is replacing one child's glasses for free.
The family would be extremely appreciative of anything you can donate in their great time of need. Thank you so much for your generosity.
