This morning, my friend’s stepdad was taken by ICE right outside their apartment complex while he was on his way to work. However, he doesn't have a criminal record. It happened without warning and it has left their whole family in shock, scared, and unsure of what comes next. His sudden detention has created emotional distress. My friend, her siblings, and her mom are doing everything they can to stay strong, but they can’t do this alone.
