We are Izzie & Olivia Chan. Our FP girls basketball teammate and good friend Olivia Childs and her family, have tragically lost their home in the catastrophic Eaton Fire. For over 20 years, the Childs family (Brian, Katina, Ethan (19), and Olivia (17)) has been a beloved part of the Altadena, Flintridge Prep, and Saint Francis community, offering kindness, generosity, and demonstrating their unwavering faith to everyone around them. Their family home although small was a warm and welcoming sanctuary, a place where anyone who entered instantly felt loved and cared for.

Though they are incredibly grateful to have made it out safely, the loss is still overwhelming. Their hearts ache not only for the home that was lost but for the community they have cherished for so many years. The Childs family’s love for Altadena runs deep, and they are devastated by the damage that has affected so many in the area.

This is a time when we can come together as friends, family, and community to offer our support and help them rebuild what was lost.
