My name is Joan . I live in Jamaica and have seen severely children affected by Hurricane Melissa. They lost everything and live on the Street with their families.
My non-profit organization called “Love is the Key”. Through this organization, I has for years helped children in Jamaica by providing school supplies, shoes, tablets, and computers, giving them access to education and a brighter future.
After Hurricane Melissa, many families in their community have lost their homes, schools, and access to clean water and electricity. My husbond Papa Curvin and me are doing everything we can to help the children most affected — but right now, parts of Jamaica are still without power or water, and communication is extremely difficult.
That’s why I have created this GoFundMe .
How the funds will be used:
All donations will go directly to the relief work of Love is the Key, focusing on helping children and families in the hardest-hit areas by providing:
Shoes and clothes for children who lost everything
School materials and supplies so they can return to learning
Tablets and computers to support their education
Basic necessities like food and hygiene products where urgently needed
While others focus on rebuilding infrastructure, Love is the Key focuses on rebuilding children’s lives — giving them hope, care, and the chance to keep learning, even after disaster.
Thank you for supporting “Love is the key “and the children of Jamaica during this difficult time.
Together, we can bring hope where it’s needed most. We Will Update and document What your donations are used to ❤️
