Help the Chase Family Rebuild After Devastating Fire

My name is Yasmin, and I’m reaching out on behalf of the Chase family, my sister, her husband and two children, who recently moved back to Georgia from Arizona, to build a fresh start for their family. Tragically, just a few short months into their new chapter, their dreams went up in flames. Last night on Jan. 5th, a devastating fire destroyed their home, leaving them with nothing but the pajamas that they were wearing.

Chris and Marilyn Chase are hardworking parents of two incredible kids, CJ (7) and Mia (6). Both Chris and Marilyn work from home, but their work equipment was damaged beyond repair, putting their livelihood on hold. Worse still, every Christmas gift that CJ and Mia had recieved was lost, as well as their all of the families belongings—memories of their life together—are gone.

When I arrived at the scene with other family and friends, the sight was heart-wrenching. The family, thankfully, was able to get out in time with Chris being the only one to receive some minor first degree burns. Their three beloved dogs were also unharmed. But the emotional toll of, rushing out of your home as you were putting your children to bed, and seeing your lives reduced to ashes is beyond comprehension.

The Chases have lost everything: their home, their possessions, and a sense of stability. All they have now is each other and the kindness of their community. This just happened and they have a long road ahead to rebuild their lives.
