Help the Chang Family Overcome Medical Debt

The Chang family needs support to pay off spiraling debts and medical bills. Over the past few years, they have provided significant financial support to aging parents, addressed ongoing medical needs of their five children, and dealt with the recurrence of an aggressive pediatric cancer.

During the summer of 2022, one of their daughters, who was in remission from brain cancer, experienced a relapse. A routine scan ultimately led to a diagnosis of recurrent medulloblastoma which had metastasized. Since that time she has undergone surgery, hundreds of medical appointments and procedures, as well as multiple hospitalizations. Her ongoing care needs require a parent to be available at all times, and limit the family to one income.

Despite their best efforts to stay ahead of the growing bills and mounting debt, the family’s finances have reached a tipping point and they are in urgent need of financial support. The Chang family’s story is a sadly common one, and could happen to any of us if faced with the burden of providing ongoing daily and medical care for a child with a life threatening illness.
