Help the Chacon Family and Evans Recovery

Donation protected
This GoFundMe is for the Chacon family. Their son was in a terrible car accident Tuesday night and had to be taken by life flight to Primary Children’s Hospital. He is in critical condition, and his family is by his side. They need prayers and anything you can give so that their focus can remain on their boy and his recovery. This is being organized by the Logan Postal workers, coworkers of the father.

Update11/16

Friends and Family, thank you all for the tremendous support!!! We thank the Lord for surrounding us with such caring and loving people❤️
I wanted to give you all an update on Evan. Your prayers are being answered, please keep sending them this way.
We are close to 96 hrs since the accident, this is the time where the brain swelling tends to peak. They have been able to keep his brain pressure controlled without having to do extreme measures. He’s still heavily sedated but his brain pressure has remained predominantly stable.
The doctors are still not able to operate on his injuries until he can pass a lay flat test for 4 hours without his brain pressure spiking. He’s been elevated this whole time to reduce the pressure but when they lay him down it goes up. The last lay flat test they did was early Thursday morning and he was able to last an hour and twenty minutes. They are currently doing a lay flat test right now and we are 2 and a half hours in and he’s tolerating it well!! Thank you Lord
The doctors tell us they are hopeful for surgery on Monday.
Thank you again for your support and please help us keep praying for Evan’s recovery. The fact that he is still alive is a miracle and a testament to our Heavenly Father.

11-21 update

After days of patiently waiting and multiple delays, Evan is finally getting the surgery to repair his pelvis. They just took him to the operating room and are about to begin. The surgeon says it will take 4 - 6 hours to complete.
His pelvis detached from the front and back, they are going to use a plate and screws to reattach the front and a set of rods to reconnect the back part to his sacrum. They will also attempt to repair the damage to his right hip socket after working on his pelvis. The surgeon said they will try to do it with minimal incisions but depending on how it goes Evan may have to undergo multiple surgeries, it depends on how he handles it.
It goes without saying but we are all very stressed and worried and are praying the surgery goes well without any complications.
The love and support we’ve received from everyone has been a blessing. A big thank you to all that have kept Evan on their minds and in their prayers, we are very grateful❤️❤️❤️
I will post an update after surgery as soon as possible.
