The flames and smoke engulfed the home in mere minutes, leaving soot and ash throughout what had been 77 years of cherished memories. The fire started around 9:30 in the back patio while the family was getting ready for bed. When the firefighters arrived, the Centeno family watched helplessly as they battled the blaze that had erupted. In the chaos, all three managed to escape with a couple of phones and the clothes they were wearing, but lost 25% of their home to fire damage.
Irreplaceable photographs, heirlooms, and mementos that held precious family memories were lost in the blaze, including their beloved cat, Savannah, who meant the world to them.
We're hoping to raise the goal amount to help cover immediate necessities, clothing, remediation throughout the home, and rebuilding costs for the damaged areas. Every donation, no matter the amount, will help support the Centeno family as they begin the overwhelming process of making their home livable again.
