Hope for the Cavender Family - Fighting ALS
Donation protected
We're reaching out to our friends, family, and community with heavy hearts and a hopeful spirit.
After many excruciating months of uncertainty, questions, and endless tests and waiting, Chad Cavender was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease).
Chad has been a California Highway Patrolman in Monterey County for 12 years. An article about his incredible career can be found in the photographs below.
Chad is a 39-year-old husband to his high-school sweetheart, Amy; and a dedicated father to two little girls, Evie and Audrey.
The road ahead will involve many medical expenses and hard decisions as the family navigates life with ALS.
As Chad himself said, “This disease may not kill me for a couple of years--and I'm hoping not ever--but that doesn't mean I'm guaranteed tomorrow.”
Please help us make his tomorrow as comfortable as it can be.
Thank you for your generosity and your willingness to help us show love to Chad, Amy, Evie, and Audrey.
