Help the Castoire's fight Breast Cancer
Donation protected
On December 10, 2020, our aunt, Adela Castoire was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. This took a huge emotional toll on us as a family. Following this devastating news, our uncle Jose Castoire, was informed by his cardiologist that he needed Coronary artery bypass surgery, a surgical procedure to restore normal blood flow to his three obstructed coronary arteries. This news shattered us all. If you know our aunt and uncle, you know that they are the most generous, giving people who will do anything for anybody. To say that the last couple of weeks have been overwhelming would be an understatement.
We quickly met as a family and drafted a treatment plan for our aunt and uncle. For our aunt this would entail approximately six months of chemotherapy, followed by a major surgery, radiation therapy, and possibly further chemotherapy. Our uncle has his scheduled triple bypass surgery on January 11th, however the future of his treatment plan is uncertain as of right now. We are elated to say that they are both in good spirits, however, we pray for a speedy recover and our aunt to become cancer-free. We cannot fathom a life without them, far less without both. Unfortunately, continuing treatment, being out of work, will create a difficult financial situation. No amount is too small to give. We know that 2020 has already been an extremely economically challenging year for most, so we ask that if you are unable to donate that you please share our story. We also want to thank every one of you who has shown support in some way. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the calls, the messages, the prayers, the flowers, the meals, everything. We cannot express our gratitude for the outpouring support that has been shown thus far. -With heartfelt thanks, Lissette, Tanya, and Jessenia on behalf of our family.
