This past week, my wife, children, dogs, and I had to escape from an abusive and unsafe domestic environment and are currently homeless. Luckily, we have two extraordinarily generous friends who have been able to help us find a temporary place to stay until more permanent housing becomes available. However, as of the 25th of October, we have 10 days until our current, temporary housing is no longer viable. We are extremely close to finding a new rental home to settle into but first we need to raise some funds to cover the cost of the rental application and associated minimum income requirement. We also have an infant daughter with severe medical complications including heart and liver defects that require multiple regularly scheduled doctor and therapist appointments nearly every day of the week. These appointments are typically 30+ miles away in one direction and so we burn through a lot of gas.

Our financial goal also includes offsetting the cost of food, gas, and property storage which, despite me working a full-time job, we were barely able to cover at such short notice.
