Help the Cardona Family Honor Jose Jr.'s Memory
Donation protected
On behalf of the Family, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of young 19 year old Jose Cardona Jr. On the morning of December 17, 2024 Jose Sr. tragically discovered his sons body in the aqueduct in Phelan, CA. Jose Jr. had been missing for over 3 weeks, when he had previously left the family home to go for a walk on November 24th, 2024. At that time Jose Jr. was in remission from cancer and sadly dealing with mental health issues, ever since his chemotherapy treatment. Dealing with Cancer is hard on anyone, especially a teenage boy. A few days prior to his disappearance, he had made the decision to stop talking his psychiatric medication and was not of sound mind when he left home or during his time on the streets. Jose was very close with his parents and siblings. His entire family searched tirelessly, morning, noon and night for Jose from the moment he disappeared, with little to no help from the Sheriff's or Police Department. Because of the amount of time the parents had to take off of work and money spent on drones, electric vehicles and other devices the family utilized in their searches, they are now left with the unbearable stress of not only tragically losing their 1st born child, but figuring out how to cover the inflated amount of money it costs for his funeral services.
We want to Thank the Community who has come out to help with these searches and all of the prayers sent to the family. Anything you can share now to help this family in their darkest hour and time of need, would be greatly appreciated. I have known the family personally for over 10 years. They are some of the hardest working people I know and they wouldn't ask for help if it wasn't genuinely needed. Every bit counts. Again, thank you all for your continued thoughts and prayers during what has been the hardest time the Cardona Family has ever been through. God bless you all!
