Help the Captain Save His House

Donation protected
The Captain needs your help!!

Some of you know him as The Captain. Some of you know him as Smiley.
And the government knows him as Evan Jorgensen :D

He is a great neighbor and a great friend. He is the person that will be there at the drop of a hat, no matter what you may need and no matter what time of day. He is also the person who won't ask for help, even if its a dire situation.

Well, the situation is dire. And we all agree, if The Captain won't ask for help, his crew will do it for him. So as one of the Captain's sisters, I am reaching out to all you mateys for your assistance.

The Vessel (his house) is sinking. The flooding that has happened in Muskegon County has caused the water to basically take over his entire property. He has a Michigan basement that filled with 8 ft of water. The foundation is starting to crumble and lots of things will need to be fixed/put in place to correct this. Everything on the inside will need to be replaced; everything from his furnace to hot water heater to pumps to septic system and more. The walls will need to be replaced. The foundation will need to be fixed. Well points will need to be drilled. The entire place will need to be sterilized and resealed to prevent mold and other things from all the water damage. And so so so much more work will need to be done. We are just starting to uncover the magnitude of damage that is happening here. And we need help.

Sadly, at this point, all costs are coming out of pocket. Evan is unemployed for the time being due to Covid19 and experiencing unemployment payment issues (like the majority). And the only other person in the house is his disabled veteran father, whom he takes care of.

That brings me to my next topic. His dad. The Captain's father is not in great health. He is an amazing man and is blessed to have his son caring for him. But there is only so much one human can do. If anything happens to this home, i.e. it crumbles or a serious mold outbreak or really anything else, it could jeopardize his dad's, already fragile, well being. And it would leave them homeless. We cannot have that happen.

The Captain's crew is asking for your help. May you find it in your heart, even during these crazy enough times, to help lessen this extreme burden on the Jorgensen family. Any and all help is going to be quintessential to them not losing their home. All funds will be used to fix/repair/save this house!!

The winds are strong and the seas are rough. There is no land in sight yet. The voyage ahead will be long and taxing but this ship must not go down to Davey Jones' locker.

ALL HANDS ON DECK!!!

Much love and thank you from the bottoms of our empty rum barrels,
