Hello friends . You may remember four years ago I started a GoFundMe for my dear friends that were faced with a parent’s worst nightmare — a terminal brain cancer diagnosis for their precious infant daughter, Camila. This is the most wonderful family enduring the unthinkable.

Camila is a warrior. Despite facing a diagnosis no child should ever have to hear — terminal brain cancer — she has shown more strength, bravery, and joy than anyone could imagine.

For over 40 days, Camila has been in the hospital, surrounded by love as her parents, Jackie and Paulo, have never left her side. They’ve read her favorite stories, held her hand through every treatment, and made sure that even in the hospital, she feels like the bright, beautiful child she is.

Their days have been filled with moments of laughter, courage, and countless memories that will last forever — but also long nights, emotional exhaustion, and the heartache of knowing that time is precious. Through it all, Camila continues to inspire everyone around her with her smile, her resilience, and her unshakable spirit.

Because both parents have been by Camila’s bedside, neither has been able to work. This has placed a heavy financial strain on the family, on top of the emotional toll of this journey.
