Hi, my name is Heather and I am a very close friend of The Campbells. I'm hoping and praying that each of you could give a little something to this extremely unselfish, big hearted, always putting others before their own needs, Christian family. They truly have not only enriched mine and my son's Austin's life, but every friend, child or person they come in contact with. I feel it's time to give back to them in their time of need, just like they have selflessly given so many others.
My son, like many of his classmates, grew up in the pool, spending over nights and making so many memories with the Campbells. Memories that will forever be a huge part of our lives and have played a part in shaping who they are today. Tina and Johnny have 3 awesome kids between them, 2 sons that live here (one has a beautiful daughter) and a daughter living in North Carolina raising their other two beautiful granddaughters. When their youngest son was in middle school, they opened their hearts and their homes to 5 more children. Even though there was not much space in the house, they had tons of room in their hearts. These 5 kids were siblings and both Tina and Johnny's heart could not fathom them being split up in the foster system, so they said.....WE WANT THEM. Their adoption was finally finalized right before Christmas in 2018. Their scripture for this momentous occasion that stays implanted on their hearts is Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you
They are members at Second Baptist in Kingwood and absolutely love the Lord. No matter what is thrown their way, they have and will always keep their eyes on Jesus.
Right now they are going through a very difficult season and need our help. Johnny was having a little bit of dementia type episodes, so Tina made the hard decision to sell her boutique consignment store to spend more time at home. With being self employed for so many years, they do not have any health insurance for either herself or Johnny. Now Mr. Johnny is battling a very aggressive form of tongue cancer. The tumor has drastically tripled in size in just a month and is in desperate need of medical care. He has gone from 220 lbs to 173 lbs. Anything that you can contribute will help even if it's a $1.00. I know they would never ask on their own, so I want to ask on their behalf. I know they would never hesitate to do it for me or my family or any ones family to be honest. Without having medical insurance, they will not let him in at MD Anderson without a significant down payment. Please, Please, Please consider giving even if it's small amount......anything helps and I know that they would be beyond grateful. We just want to make sure all the kids are taken care of and Johnny gets the medical treatment he needs to beat this disease If you are able to help monetarily that is wonderful, and if you are not that is ok too - I just ask that you lift them all up in prayer daily as they walk this uncharted territory.
Big hugs, love and prayers to all
