Help the Camarillo Family with Funeral Costs
Donation protected
Update:
Hi everyone,
This is Lupita (or Maria), Javier’s eldest daughter. On behalf of my family, we wanted to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who supported our family during this incredibly difficult time. Thanks to your generosity through both GoFundMe and Zelle, we were able to surpass our original $14,000 goal, and I can’t express enough how much that has meant to us.
Because of your love and support, we’ve been able to handle the major costs related to my dad’s burial. We’ll be turning off gofundme donations, but we are continuing to accept Zelle donations for those who would still like to contribute to any lingering expenses.
We’ll be sharing details about my dad’s funeral services soon, most likely on our personal social media pages, for those who want to join us in honoring his life, either in person or from wherever you are.
Thank you again for every donation, every kind word, and every moment you’ve spent thinking of my dad and our family. You’ve helped us carry some of the heaviest weight we’ve ever had to bear, and we’ll never forget that. Let’s honor my dad with the same warmth he gave to the world. Thank you thank you thank you.
With so much love and gratitude,
Family Camarillo
Hello everyone I am making this fundraiser for my wonderful tio Javier.
The Camarillo Family:
Our amazing dad has passed away on the morning of July 8th, 2025, around 2 a.m. after a long, brave journey with advanced prostate cancer. He will be survived by his wife, Gloria, his daughter, Maria, and his two sons, Javier and Alejandro. While our hearts are broken, we are deeply grateful for the time we had, and for the love and strength he showed us every single day.
His diagnosis came late, delayed after two refused biopsies, but from the moment he was sick, long before his treatment, he was already fighting with unwavering courage, faith, and grace. In just a little over a year, he endured more than 20 hospital stays, blood clots in both his arm and leg, a fractured ankle, and two strokes. Yet through it all, he never stopped showing up for us, not just with strength, but with tenderness.
Even in his final days, when speaking and eating had become difficult, he continued to show love in quiet but powerful ways, through gentle head pats, playful winks, and soft kisses blown from his hospital bed. He truly was a gentle giant, a hard-working, honest, kind affectionate man who loved dancing, singing, was an amazing auto electrician, and authentically expressed love openly. If you knew him, you knew that love. And if you didn’t, we promise, he would’ve given it to you anyway.
Now that he has passed, we are navigating the painful reality of planning his farewell. We are doing our best to honor him with the dignity and peace he deserves, but the costs of end-of-life care and funeral expenses have placed a significant burden on our family.
If you are able to donate, share this link, or simply send love and prayers, we are so thankful. Every bit of support helps us give our dad the farewell he deserved, one that reflects just how deeply he was loved.
Thank you for standing with us during this time.
With love and gratitude,
The Camarillo Family
