Help the Camargo Family Through This Tragedy
Donation protected
On Thursday, October 10th, the Camargo family’s two daughters were involved in a tragic accident while walking in the parking lot of the Dollar General on 34th and Bell St. in Amarillo. They were struck by a vehicle, resulting in major injuries that will require multiple surgeries and months of physical therapy.
The staff at Dollar General, who know the girls well from their weekly visits, along with some kind bystanders, rushed to their aid. Their quick response was a blessing in such a difficult moment, and we are so grateful for their help.
Now, the Camargo family faces a long, challenging road ahead. The father, Elias, served 12 years in the Wyoming Air National Guard and was deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. As a single-income family with only one vehicle for the five of them, the mounting medical bills and ongoing care for both girls are overwhelming. This family has always been there for others in need—helping children and families in their community—and now they need our help more than ever.
Any donation, big or small, will go directly toward medical expenses, rehabilitation, and the support this family needs to focus on their daughters’ recovery. Your kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated during this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you, and God bless.
