Help the Bunche family lay Debra Bunche to Rest
Donation protected
I never thought that I would be sitting here, in the hospital, with my Dad as we watch my Mom, Debra Bunche, breathe her last few breaths. However, this is where we are at.
Debra has fought a long and arduous battle with lung cancer. Even though she has won against it 3 times before, cancer has finally succeeded.
Many of my friends who grew up with my brother Quinton and me, will remember Debra as being the “neighborhood mom”. She always welcomed our newfound friends into our home and always looked out for the other kids in the neighborhood.
Debra was the embodiment of the idea that it takes a village to raise children. Debra was a fierce advocate for public education, a musician, a history buff, and an animal whisperer of sorts and she loved national parks.
Debra Bunche is the wife of Robert Bunche, my father, and since COVID hit in 2020, he has been at home taking care of my Mother. He has worked tirelessly, taking mom to her medical appointments and being her rock administering her medication while she battled this latest bout with cancer. The combination of COVID and the increasing severity of my Mom’s medical condition did not allow for my Dad to return to work after COVID restrictions lessened.
And so, my Dad who is struggling to pay basic bills now has the looming end-of-life costs to think about. My brother and I are doing all we can to alleviate these financial worries, but in this current economy, things are very difficult.
My father, brother and I are humbly asking for any donations you can spare to help us get our Mother taken care of as she moves on. The money collected here will be used to help pay for end-of-life and funeral costs and any medical expenses that result from laying her body to rest.
Thank you all so much.
