Hello all, my name is Alicia Southern and I am a good friend of the family-Samantha and I have been friends for over 5.5 years now and our children have grown to be close friends as well. I am organizing this fundraiser for the Brock family- Tyler, Samantha, Troy, and Nathaniel- because they will need help in this journey.

 

Troy, who just turned 8, has been diagnosed with a mass on his brain. This tumor cannot be fully removed with surgery right now because of its location near the brain stem and because of its size. A biopsy is scheduled for September 20th to find out what type of cancer Troy will be battling, and once this is determined a treatment plan will be made and put into action. The plan will likely include chemotherapy to begin shrinking the tumor so it can hopefully be removed in the future.

 

Right now, Troy is struggling with memory, sleeping, and swallowing (due to the tumor being right behind his throat.) Please pray for him about these things and for his overall healing. Also pray for the medical team that will be overseeing his treatment, and for his family.

 

Tyler and Samantha ask for your continued prayers throughout this long journey. I am also asking that you help this family financially so they can focus on what is important right now. Samantha will be working less due to the many appointments involved, and there will be many added expenses due to traveling back and forth for his treatments and the medical expenses.
