Help the Brice Family Recover from House Fire

Donation protected
on 4/10/24, the Brice family home suffered a devastating fire leading to their home being destroyed and their two youngest children being air lifted to the Children’s Hospital with severe smoke inhalation injuries.

Reina and her family have been an incredible source of support for anyone going through a difficult time, have always kept their doors open to anyone in need. Please share and donate if you can for this INCREDIBLE family who needs all the help and support they can get at this time.

** UPDATE 4/15 from Dad**

William Clarke Brice
8/23/2017 - 4/14/2024

Zachariah Henry Brice
9/16/2020 - 4/14/2024

We are devastated by these horrific events and heart broken that we lost our amazing sons. Our prayers along with all of yours have been answered, just in a different way. It wasn’t what we picked, and we are learning to surrender and trust God more and more.

We have peace in knowing they are both with Jesus and have heard “well done good and faithful servant.” We also have peace knowing that we got more days with them on Earth as we learned they should have been lost in the fire that day. Our heart aches because we want them here, but we have a strong hope knowing that we will see them again and will do our best to share their legacy of love, and joy and encouragement for everyone they met.

UPDATE 4/18 from Jamey:

The boys had organ donation surgery together which finished 2 minutes apart. Symbolic of them being found in the fire with William protecting Zachariah. Both of these heroes’ hearts, kidneys and livers made the first part of the process. Up to 8 lives will be saved. Please pray for the recipients, the second part of the process and that we will get to meet the recipient families in the future.

Please continue praying with zeal and enthusiasm. Pray for wisdom for us as parents, pray peace and comfort for our parents(the grand parents). Pray our story keeps people spiritually awake and helps us share the gospel. Pray and give what you feel led to: no pressure or obligation. Share our story and join the party; 4pm Saturday April 27th at word of life church in Springfield. Thank you for your generosity and as we get back on our feet, we intend to help others as we’ve been helped.

Words from Jamey and Reina 5/7/24:

Thank you everyone for your kind words and generosity. There is no way we can thank everyone individually and hope this message reaches everyone. Because of all the gifts we have been able to pay off all of our debts, and have a comfortable margin that allows us to grieve without the usual worries. Any future money donated will be used towards what we need at our temporary home, any unplanned expenses and a permanent home in the future. There is still no pressure to give and we mainly want prayer and connections. Thank you again for your generosity.
