Help the Boyd Family Through Recovery

Raising money to help our family after an unexpected accident has left Luke in the ICU burn unit while trying to save Autumn, our youngest daughter, from an exploding aerosol can. They have estimated between 20-45% of his body has been burned.

Autumn was injured as well but was treated in the hospital and determined to have superficial burns more like a sunburn due to Luke taking the brunt of the explosion. Nathan, our oldest, was also very heroic in helping put out the remaining fires while Luke dealt with his and Autumn's injuries. Willow helped keep the animals away while the fire trucks came and Corra was very diligent in making all the appropriate phone calls needed to call 911 at Luke's direction and then myself to make sure everyone was aware of the situation.

Overall I am very proud of how my children reacted in such a stressful situation and I know I can count on them to continue to make me proud through helping in their father's recovery.

So far, Luke is scheduled for surgery on Monday the 23rd and will be out of work for an undetermined amount of time. I, Bethany Boyd, am also having to take off from work for an undetermined amount of time, to be a full time caregiver, and take care of our 4 kids. Since I am a tattoo artist contractor, this will be a huge hit for our family and we could use all the support we can get to help my husband heal.
