Help the Boss Family Through the Eaton Fire Aftermath

Hi everyone,

I've started this GoFundMe to aid the Boss family–Jesse, Katharine, and Frankie Boss. They evacuated their home on January 7th due to the devastating Eaton Fire with their cat Hank and a few pieces of clothing, leaving everything else behind. Initially assuming their house was gone, they were notified that it had miraculously survived the fire, which felt like a godsend in the moment. Sadly over the last week, they have found out that almost everything in their house will be a total loss due to contamination. Their house itself may not be livable as well until they are able to do many tests that aren't covered by their insurance. This is devastating to say the least, and the financial burden with serious lack of help from insurance has become a nightmare. For that I've started this GoFundMe to try to help them as best we can. What they need right now is help in covering the cost of environmental testing for lead and asbestos, which is not covered by insurance and will determine if they can ever safely move back in with Frankie. It would also greatly help with their immediate living needs and keeping their businesses afloat.

You might know Katharine from her salon Freija Collective in Highland Park, or Jesse from his tattoo career spanning across LA. If you've been a client of theirs, you know how kind, hard working, and eager they are to make sure your needs are completely taken care of. Friends of theirs can attest to how deeply generous they are with their time, unconditional support, and absolute loyalty. If you need anything, they are willing and ready to help.

The reality is that there is a real chance they may not be able to move back in, the future is unclear. Either way, they are starting over in so many ways, and your help would make all the difference. As their friend of many years, I can say firsthand that there is nothing they wouldn't do to be there for others during a time like this, so if you are able to support they would be forever grateful!!
