Help the Bolognese Family Through Tough Times

Donation protected
Dear Friends,

I am reaching out to you today with a heavy but hopeful heart on behalf of a truly remarkable family facing overwhelming challenges. MaryLou and Mike Bolognese, whom many of us know and love, have dedicated their lives to caring for others. Their faith has been their guiding light, and now, in their time of need, I believe we are called to step in and support them.

Mike, who is a very devoted and faith-filled man, recently lost the job he held for many years. He has found work as a public school teacher, but it has come at the cost of leaving behind his true passion—teaching religion in a Catholic school. Meanwhile, Mary Lou is facing significant physical and mental health struggles, making daily life even more difficult.

Together, they have selflessly opened their hearts and home to five adopted children with special needs. These children are a blessing, but they also bring unique challenges and financial strain. Despite it all, this family never asks for help.

The other day, I ran into Mike at the grocery store. With just a few items in his cart—far less than I knew he needed—he didn’t complain or ask for anything. Instead, he simply shared how much his wife is struggling and how tight things have become financially. He also spoke of how wonderful God's love and provision is over their lives. His unwavering faith and love for his family moved me deeply.

Their family was an integral part of our adoption support group at church for many years, always giving so much to others. I believe now, it is our turn to give back. I would love to come together as a community to ease their burden by providing them with gift cards for groceries at Giant.

If you feel called to help, any contribution—big or small—will make a difference. Together, we can lighten their load and remind them that they are not alone.

Let’s be the hands and feet of Christ and lift up this beautiful family in their time of need. Miss and love you all!

Lots of love,
Jenny
