ACCIDENT - THE BOIES' FAMILY - DRUNK DRIVER
In October, a drunk driver ran a red light, going about 70 MPH, and T-boned our family in the side of their car.
My parents, David and Delia Boies, my brother, Brian Boies, and our dog, Big, were all in the vehicle.
David and Delia were knocked unconscious. David broke 7 or 8 ribs and had a brain bleed. Delia had some memory loss after the accident. Brian had 15 staples in his head, as well as 15 stitches in his side, and tore a few ligaments in his leg, leaving him on crutches for two months after.
Unfortunately, our dog Big died in the accident.
But the family is making a full recovery!!
In the meantime, the insurance doesn't cover all of the expenses, and the family is feeling pressured to sign a full release of the drunk driver to get what little money they can.
OUR GOAL
To relieve some of the financial pressure, our goal is simply to raise enough money to help the family buy a new car.
The insurance policy won't replace everything (it was basically like the drunk driver was uninsured) - so just getting a car would be a huge step in the right direction.
My parents, my siblings, and I have been active and helpful members of our schools, our parishes, and our community. We love them and the people we work with, and we trust that our service over the years might be met with generosity.
We have scraped together all the money we have personally. Anything you can do to help is greatly, greatly appreciated.
From Our Family to Yours,
Thank You and Happy Holidays
