Help the Blue Spaders Run Boston
When the Soldiers of the 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment, "Blue Spaders" returned from a 9-month deployment to Iraq in January, they hugged their families, got a good night's sleep, and set their sights on their next challenge.
For eleven lucky Blue Spaders, that next challenge is the world-famous Boston Marathon. The Boston Athletic Association generously reserves a number of invitational entries every year for recently-deployed service men and women and 1-26 Infantry was able to secure entries to this year's race for some of their most talented and hardworking Soldiers.
However, getting from Fort Campbell to Boston by April 17th won't be easy, so we're looking for a little bit of support from our friends and families across the country to help us offset some of the cost.
Any donation is greatly appreciated and will go directly to the costs associated with transportation to and from the Marathon, as well as our entries into the race itself.
Thanks a lot to anyone who can contribute, or even just those who help to spread the word. We'll see you at the finish line.
Relentless!
