The Blough family—Ryan, Rebecca, Emma (7), and Henry (1)—recently experienced a life-changing event when their home was severely damaged by Tropical Storm Chantal. Ryan, a US ARMY Veteran, and Rebecca, a dedicated stay-at-home mom, have always been known as hardworking, caring, and kind neighbors. Emma is a gentle soul who loves all things unicorn, and little Henry has just started walking. They are wonderful people experiencing a terrible situation, and they need our support.
On July 6, 2025, record setting flood waters destroyed their home’s foundation and entire first floor, including Rebecca and Ryan’s bedroom, the kids’ playroom, den, and kitchen. As a result, they are now displaced and working to secure temporary housing while the full extent of the damage is being assessed.
Despite having flood insurance, the expenses associated with recovering from this disaster are far more than what an average family can manage. They are facing the daunting challenge of covering the costs of rent and furnishings for temporary housing, as well as the uncertainty of future repair expenses for their home, while still being responsible for the mortgage on their damaged home.
This fundraiser will help the Bloughs cover immediate living costs (including rent and furnishings for temporary housing) and provide support and stability as they navigate this difficult time. Your contributions will make a real difference, helping them focus on rebuilding and caring for their young family while they make plans for the next steps. Every donation helps them move forward during this uncertain time.
