The Blinn family has always been a pillar of strength in our community. Ray, a retired lieutenant with the East Providence Police Department, and his wife Daisy have spent their lives serving others. In November, their world was turned upside down when their daughter Madison went missing in San Antonio, Texas, after experiencing a mental health crisis. Ray and Daisy immediately stepped in to care for Madison’s children, including one daughter with a significant developmental disability, while launching a desperate search to find Madison. They worked tirelessly with both the San Antonio and East Providence Police Departments, and never gave up hope, even as the days stretched into weeks.

Today, December 26, 2025, brought a miracle — Madison was found alive in another state. While the family is overjoyed and relieved, their journey is far from over. The Blinn family now faces the challenge of bringing Madison home and supporting her recovery, all while continuing to care for her children. The costs of travel, medical treatment, therapy, and daily care — especially for Madison’s daughter with special needs — are overwhelming.

Updated to add: If anyone has a lead on a small apartment or room for rent in the East Providence area, the Blinns are looking for a place for Madison. They do not have space to keep her with them long-term and need support finding safe, affordable housing.
