Hello, one of my ride-or-die best friend's husband had a tragic health emergency. Jennifer Blalock (JP) and Charles Blalock have been loyal close friends of our family for over 20 years. Charles has been in UA local 342 plumbers and pipe fitters union for many years. He has always worked hard to support his family. He needs our help now while he recovers. On January 25th, 2025, Charles spiked a fever of 105. Jennifer rushed him to the emergency room. There, they rushed him to the back where they discovered he had a stroke. He has been in the intensive care unit since. He has suffered several strokes while there. He has endocarditis and has an abscess on the back of his heart. He had an infection and bacteria that got in his bloodstream and traveled to his brain and heart. This is what has caused the strokes. He also has vegetative growths on his heart from this. They will need to be removed as well. He will need a heart valve replacement. He has to stay in the intensive care unit until the heart surgery, which will hopefully be next week. After that, he will be transferred to Vallejo to a rehabilitation inpatient facility. They live about an hour and a half from Vallejo. They also have 2 teenagers that are in high school.
