Help The Blackmon Family prepare to say goodbye
Donation protected
On the evening of Wednesday April 7, 2021 Michelle, Auburn, and Donald received devastating news that their husband/father Donald Blackmon Jr. unexpectedly passed away while at work. Michelle - Don’s childhood sweetheart and wife of 24years - along with his children, were met by a friend and officers Wednesday evening with the news of Don’s death - news that no child should ever have to hear at 14 and 17 years old. While they have been surrounded by great friends and family that are providing much needed emotional support, the family needs closure as well as time to process, grieve, and heal.
In the last few days, friends have left messages, stopped by the home, and have shared how kind of a man Don was. He loved his family and his friends; he was a man who made others feel important and thrived on helping others. Michelle, Auburn, and Donald were the center of his world. He loved them immensely and shared this with friends and coworkers often. As Michelle and the kids prepare to face the reality of Don’s passing and saying goodbye, please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
Friends, new and old, have asked how they can help honor Don’s memory and support his family. At this time, we would like to help allow Michelle and the kids the time to grieve while also helping to offset the sudden, unplanned costs that come along with such a significant loss. Let’s come together and show Don’s family how great of an impact their husband and father has had on each of our lives by easing their unexpected financial burden at such a difficult, earth-shattering time in their lives. Let’s do for Don’s family as we know he would do for ours.
