Help the Bishop Family Rebuild After Fire

On Thursday, April 10th, my home fell victim to what investigators believe to be an electrical fire. The home of my mom, Catherine, my brother, Sam, our two cats, Hero and Cinnamon, and myself, is now nothing but a pile of ashes and dust. Except for our two cats, who have yet to be found and likely perished in the fire, my family is beyond blessed to be unharmed.

The state of the house is completely heartbreaking. Every picture, every hand-written note, every gift, or anything of value is nothing but ashes. This loss is incredibly difficult to process, considering everything from mine and Sam's childhood, everything we hold dear to our hearts, and everything my mom owns, is gone. I am only affected a little bit in comparison to my brother and my mom, since I am in college and have most of my everyday necessities in my dorm. My mom and brother have nothing left.

In due time, insurance will help my family get back on their feet, but until then, I need your help. All of my brother’s school supplies are gone, and both of them are in dire need of new clothes, toiletries, and money for food until the long-winded insurance battle goes through. Please help me help my family who, overnight, lost everything. And if you have nothing to give, all I ask is for you to have my family, who has done nothing but care for the people around them, love with the purest of hearts, and give until there was nothing left to give, in your prayers. “I thought I was poor because I had no shoes, until I met a man with no feet.” The Bishop family is still standing and will soon thrive again because we are left healthy, which is all that matters. I thank the Lord for keeping the people I love above all else in this world safe. Who could ever be truly poor when we have each other to lean on? In the end, we all still have the shoes on our feet!
