Help the Bilbies – Australia’s Women’s Blind Football Team
Donation protected
We are the Australian Women’s Blind Football Team – the Bilbies — a determined group of athletes and volunteers proudly representing Australia in one of the most exciting and inclusive Paralympic sports in the world.
In 2025, we’ve been invited to compete in two major international tournaments in Japan and India. These tournaments are not just games — they are part of a global campaign to have women’s blind football officially included in the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.
We are ready. We are passionate. But we can’t do it without you.
Our team receives no funding from the Football Australia and is entirely self-funded, supported by the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) and our amazing community.
Your donation will help us:
Travel to Japan and India to compete on the world stage
Ensure safe and accessible accommodation for our athletes
Support the volunteers, players and staff who make it possible
Support the global campaign to get women’s blind football into the Paralympics
We train across the country, connecting weekly online and coming together for a few national camps each year. These international tournaments will be a rare chance for our players to build team connection, compete, and be part of something historic.
This is about more than sport — it’s about inclusion, opportunity, and changing the game for generations of women and girls who are blind or vision impaired.
Any amount helps. Every share matters.
Thank you for supporting the Bilbies and helping us chase this dream.
