Help the Bilbies – Australia’s Women’s Blind Football Team

We are the Australian Women’s Blind Football Team – the Bilbies — a determined group of athletes and volunteers proudly representing Australia in one of the most exciting and inclusive Paralympic sports in the world.

In 2025, we’ve been invited to compete in two major international tournaments in Japan and India. Through the support of donations and self fund we were able to live our dream and play our first ever matches on the international stage. We played our hearts out and secured a 3rd place medal!

Next up is India, where we will continue to grow and develop as a team.

These tournaments are not just games — they are part of a global campaign to have women’s blind football officially included in the 2032 Paralympic Games in Brisbane.

We are ready. We are passionate. But we can’t do it without you.

Our team receives no funding from the Football Australia and is entirely self-funded, supported by the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) and our amazing community.

We train across the country, connecting weekly online and coming together for a few national camps each year. These international tournaments will be a rare chance for our players to build team connection, compete, and be part of something historic.

This is about more than sport — it’s about inclusion, opportunity, and changing the game for generations of women and girls who are blind or vision impaired.
