We are the Australian Blind Football (ABF) Women’s Team. Known as the Bilbies — a determined group of athletes and volunteers proudly representing Australia in one of the most exciting and inclusive sports in the world.

We have been invited to compete in the IBSA Women´s Blind Football Asia Championship in April 2026. Through the support of your donations we can live out our dreams and play at our first ever regional championships on the international stage.

Thanks to donations we received last year, we were able to attend the IBSA Grand Prix in Umekita, Japan, where we won a bronze medal!

These tournaments are more than just games — they are part of a global campaign to have women’s blind football officially included in the 2032 Paralympic Games in Brisbane.

We are ready. We are passionate. But we can’t do it without you.

Our team receives no funding from Football Australia and is entirely self-funded. We are part of Australian Blind Football which is supported by Blind Sports Australia and our amazing community.

Blind Sports Australia (BSA) is the nationally recognised sporting organisation for blind sport and a member of the International Blind Sports Federation. BSA is a not-for-profit charity recognised by the ACNC to receive tax free donations. Click here to donate.

We train across the country, connecting weekly online and coming together for a few national camps each year. These international tournaments are a rare chance for our players to build team connection, compete, and be part of something historic.
