Hi Everyone,
I'm starting this gofundme because my dear and close friends, Victoria and Pete, have just lost their home to a sudden and devastating garage fire. This is sadly just one instance of the devastating news that they've recieved this year as Victoria is also facing heart problems and currently undergoing testing for the cause.
"At 1:23pm on Thursday afternoon, June 22 of 2023, a structure fire call was dispatch
ed for a residence in the city of Camarillo. The location was the area of Village Commons Drive near Bridgehampton Way.
The call was said to be a garage fire. While in route, firefighters could see smoke coming from the area, and upgraded the response.
When arriving at the scene, VC Fire reported seeing black smoke coming from both floors of a two story residence. The smoke was coming from a fire inside the garage.
Firefighters immediately attacked the fire in an offensive operation. Everyone was confirmed to be out of the house. Quick work kept the fire contained to the garage and achieved knock down by about 1:42pm."
The fire not only took their home, but it also destroyed Victoria's small business which she worked entirely on in their garage. All of the various machines, inventory, material, and orders she had were also destroyed that day. While the fire did not reach the inside of the home, an immense amount of fire smoke did. Their furniture, linens, and many other items are now unusable from the intense smoke damage.
Thankfully, Pete was home and was able to escape safely with their two dogs. Although, he is still facing issues from the smoke inhalation.
They have to now start from scratch and are currently homeless with their two dogs, Sasha and Dash. Anyone who knows these two, knows that they are the most selfless people you will ever meet. They are always going out of their way to make others feel special and would always host events at their home for loved ones. Victoria and Pete have never failed to help their friends and family with no questions asked. Now, if anyone could find the kindness in their heart to help them in return it would be so greatly appreciated.
Thank you for reading.
