Help the Berlin Family rebuild after a house fire

Donation protected
On Friday, March 11th, 2022, a devastating fire destroyed the home of Joseph and Amanda Berlin and their four children, Hannnah (9), Tim (8), Holly (6), and Titus (3). The fire originated in an adjoining house when the residents were not home. There is no known cause of the fire at this point. Amanda and Joe were watching television at night when Amanda began to smell smoke. Together, Joe and Amanda began rescuing their sleeping children from their beds and trying to protect their home. Because of the wooden structure and arid climate in Hawaii, the home burned to the ground and the roof collapsed in less than 15 minutes.

As a military family, the Berlins carried all of their belongings with them. Every photo, every memorable article collected from their adventures, all of the items for Amanda's business, Little Nest Market, are all gone. We are thankful that a few special items were scorched but salvageable: the family bible from Great Grandma Brooks, the jewelry passed down from Grandma Naomi, and the love letters that Amanda and Joe wrote back and forth during high school. Everything else, all of their furniture, clothes, toys, school curriculum, Joe's truck keys and phone, photo albums, have been lost in the fire.

The funds raised here will be used to help the Berlin family buy the items they need to replace that will not be covered by insurance.

We are grateful to God that Joe, Amanda, Hannah, Tim, Holly, and Titus are safe, although they grieve the loss of their things. Timothy shared with their church that he planned to set up a lemonade stand to help them raise money to replace the items they lost in the fire. Let's fill his donation bucket, and help this family as they build back their lives again.
