Help the Bennett Family Recover!

Lauren and Dominick just had their second beautiful son, Lorenzo, in February of 2022. Lauren cares for both of their children full time, and Dominick works full time as a painter and a Realtor.

In April of 2022, Dominick was admitted to the hospital, as he had become unable to walk and was in extreme pain in his back and legs. After many doctors appointments and finally being approved for an MRI, Dominick’s doctors discovered that he had a herniated disc that had gotten so bad, it was poking into his bladder and causing nerve and tissue damage. His doctor even told him that he wasn’t sure HOW Dominick had been walking or how he wasn’t completely paralyzed from the waist down. He said that Dominick’s case was in the worst 1% of cases he had ever seen. He advised Dominick to stop working immediately so that he didn’t actually risk paralysis, and scheduled surgery. Dominick is not even allowed to pick up his own small children or stand up on his own, so they are in the terribly tough situation of Lauren having to be home to care for the children as well as Dominick, and no one is able to work.

Fast forward to last week - Dominick had a successful surgery to repair the disc and damaged nerves, and the doctor says he will be like a new man after he recovers…in three months. By the end of this whole process, this hard-working family will not have been able to work for almost four months, and anyone with children and a family to care for in these tough economic times know hows scary and dire that situation can be. Dominick is an extremely hard worker who takes pride in providing for his loved ones - he just can’t return right now, through no fault of his own, or he will risk permanent injury. He was even going to continue working when the doctor told him not to, but friends and family rightfully convinced him otherwise.

If you have anything you can give to help this sweet family stay afloat during this unfortunate emergency in their lives, it would be so appreciated. No amount is too small, and all contributions will be received with heartfelt gratitude. Dominick and Lauren are humble and good people, and do not want to ask for this kind of help, so I am reaching out to everyone I can to ask on their behalf. Thank you for considering and for your kindness.
