Help the Benko Family Start Over from the Palisades Fire

Earlier this week the Benko family lost everything in the devastating wildfires that hit Pacific Palisades and beyond. While they are grateful to be physically safe, they lost their beloved home of 31 years, alongside all belongings, cars and decades of cherished memories. Sheila and Istvan were on a flight when the fires started, and unable to save anything. All they have right now are the clothes packed from the trip.

Sheila and Istvan and their daughters Ciara and Colleen have been valued members of the Pacific Palisades community for more than three decades. And in a moment, their community, home, and every possession they’ve ever owned is gone. The road ahead will be overwhelming, and the Benko’s will be starting from scratch.

We are raising funds to help their family in the wake of this heartbreaking tragedy. Every dollar will go directly to the Benko’s to help them get back on their feet.

Ciara was the first friend I made in New York City in 2011, and over the years I've been fortunate enough to get to know Sheila, Istvan and Colleen and witness firsthand how supportive, generous and loving their entire family is. This is our chance to pay it forward.
