El 2 de noviembre de 2022 recibimos la grave noticia de que perdimos a Edgar Mazariego (47 años), amado padre de 5 hijas, esposo y amigo, en un fatal accidente automovilístico mientras se dirigía a Florida con su esposa Carmen y su hija Tania. Carmen se encuentra en cuidados intensivos en Florida y esta en estado crítico, después de haber sufrido múltiples fracturas en la columna, la pelvis y el cuello y traumatismos en el cráneo. Estamos increíblemente agradecidos de que Tania haya sufrido solo lesiones físicas menores. On November 2nd, 2022, we received the devasting news that we lost Edgar Mazariego (age 47), beloved father of 5 daughters, husband and friend, in a fatal car accident while he was on his way to Florida with his wife Carmen and daughter Tania. Carmen is currently in ICU care in Florida in critical condition, having suffered multiple fractures in her spine, pelvis and neck and trauma to her skull. We are incredibly grateful that Tania suffered only minor physical injuries. However, Tania, Raquel and their younger sisters Samantha and Cindy are facing the overwhelming and daunting task of grieving a parent and processing the trauma of having their mother, Carmen, face a long and difficult recovery. For those of us who were lucky enough to know Edgar and his big heart, we know how much he loved his daughters and family, how he loved to dream big and how he would want his family to continue to succeed. For anyone who has met Carmen, you know how kind, sweet, generous, hardworking and loving she is and how she uplifts and upholds everyone around her. Their daughters embody the best of Edgar and Carmen, and they shouldn't have to worry about the financial burden of funeral, medical and living expenses. We appreciate the outpouring of love our family has received so far and know this community will continue to uphold the Mazariego girls as they navigate this traumatic and uncertain time. The funds will go directly to the Mazariegos to help cover funeral and medical costs and to support Edgar and Carmen's daughters.
