Help the Bell Ring Again!

The Bell Tower at the Old Stone Church has become an iconic part of the Monroeville landscape. And it needs our help. Two years ago, the bell slipped from its moorings due to deterioration of the masonry support upon which it sits. The bell no longer rings to announce newly married couples nor in celebration of holidays and community events.

 

The Monroeville Historical Society and other community organizations want the Bell to Ring Again and are launching a fundraising campaign to help offset the restoration cost for the municipality. While the total cost exceeds fifty thousand, our fundraising goal is $25,000. A hefty goal – but one that the MHS hopes will draw our community together to support this project and maintain our community's historical landmarks.  You can help the MHS and have the Bell Ring Again in multiple ways….
