Please Help The Bell Family Rebuild Their Home After Hurricane Melissa

Hello everyone, my name is Sylenah Beckford. I am from Jamaica but I currently live in Canada. I have set up this GoFundMe on behalf of my family, specifically my grandparents who have lost their home and everything they own.

My grandparents who have been lifelong residents of Whitehouse in Westmoreland, Jamaica have lost everything that they own in the wake of Hurricane Melissa, which was a Category 5 hurricane. Whitehouse, Westmoreland was one of many communities in western Jamaica that was severely affected by the hurricane which made landfall on October 28, 2025. The hurricane devastated their community and left their home severely damaged and uninhabitable. They are now displaced, without shelter or belongings. My grandparents raised all their children and grandchildren in this house. As a child, I spent every holiday with my brothers and cousins in this house. This is where we all gathered and shared lifelong memories. Now what is left - no roof, furniture and all belongings completely destroyed, cracks in the walls and the overall structure unstable as shown in the video below. The situation is very heartbreaking!

We are reaching out for help to rebuild what was destroyed. Every contribution no matter how small will go directly towards rebuilding their home, buying furniture and providing them with the basic necessities to start over.
